Te Aka use three ‘Pae’ to help inform our project direction. These Pae are made up of mātanga from across the 5 Tikanga Māori Amorangi. Together they help inform, suggest and advise the project ensuring that we are offering the best possible experiences and resources.

These Pae are:

  • Te Paepae Minitatanga
  • Te Paepae Marautanga
  • Te Paepae Pāpaho
Te Paepae Minitatanga (Ministry and Theology)

Te Paepae Minitatanga ensures that we explore Kaikawe o te Rongopai and wāhi in Aotearoa that are significant to the story of Christ in Aotearoa.  Our mātanga help us ensure that we are teaching the rich Mihingare whakapapa within Aotearoa, and that we use local people to facilitate local kaupapa.

Te Paepae Marautanga (Education)

Te Paepae Marautanga ensures that our resources and experiences are embedded with Te Reo me ngā Tikanga Māori.  Our mātanga help guide us with fun lesson ideas, purpose and context, offering an adaptable profile for working with tamariki and new believers.

Te Paepae Pāpaho (Media)

Te Paepae Pāpaho is where the magic comes together.  In order to offer our resources virtually, we need to have the tech and people to create this.  These mātanga have been helping to advise us and train rangatahi to create the Christ-centred virtual resources and experiences.
